After 16 months, many kilometers of travelling, weeks away from home, technical challenges and unpredictable weather conditions, the drilling project in Norway is delivered and approved by Northern Lights JV.
The Horizontal Directional Drilling through very hard granite, was almost completed when video inspection of the borehole showed an unstable formation. Our engineers and our crew worked together with the client in creating a more stable borehole. This brought many new technical challenges that asked for innovative solutions.
The whole HDD operation is now successfully completed. The drilling site is now demobilized and all equipment transported back to the Netherlands.
